The Perfect Moment
... All Because Two People Fell in Love

About Me

Heather and Paul 2008 006.jpg

Performing Weddings is my "Heart Job." By "Heart Job" I mean the chosen profession that feeds your spirit. Helping couples realize their dream of the Perfect Moment - their Wedding Day - truly makes me happy. Meeting new couples and hearing their stories reminds me time and time again of the Love and Goodness that is in this world if we only take time to see it.

I have performed weddings in churches, in the woods, at Hotels and Inns, on a rock in a canyon, in backyards and reception centers. I enjoy blending faiths and spiritual paths into a ceremony that celebrates each member of the couple and what draws them to one another.  I have performed countless weddings and each time, I feel honored to have been the one chosen to unite the couple in Marriage.

I love my job!

Why did you become a Minister?

On a beautiful May afternoon, a dear friend was to be married. She and her husband-to-be wanted a civil ceremony, and when they decided on a church in which to raise their family, they would have their marriage blessed in that church. They hired a "Non-Denominational Minister" who assured them that there would be no religious overtone to their ceremony... but when the time came, it was full of religion.

To watch my friend's face melt and to feel her heart sink was enough for me... I knew that NO Bride and Groom should ever have a Wedding Ceremony they didn't want! As a professional public speaker and writer with experience in acting, voice and radio commercials, the natural choice came to me.. I would become a Non-Denominational Minister.

Why ULC?

I was born and raised in a traditional Greek Orthodox home, with a basis on traditional Catholic/Orthodox faith, later teaching Sunday School. I attended Bible School throughout my school years and learned, on my own, of different religions and practices by attending a wide variety of churches outside the "norm."  Faith and spirituality facinate me. As my religious viewpoint grew, so did the idea of becoming a Minister.

I chose Universal Life Church for a few reasons. The biggest reason was their philosophy: "Do That Which is Right." ULC doesn't predispose what is right, they allow you to choose that for yourself. For me, service to the Community was paramount in my deciding to perform Weddings. As a result, many charitable organizations have benefitted from my work as a Wedding Minister.
